Into A Golden Dawn (A Poem)

Into A Golden Dawn
I’ve armed myself
with an arrow
drawn back against a crescent bow,
braided the stars in my hair,
filled my quiver with hope,
and called upon the wild and mystical
to accompany me
on this foggy forest path
leading to a moonlit meadow
upon which I will sleep a while
and dream into a golden dawn
that I have laid my weapons down
for, at least, this single night with you.
