Transparent

Some poems are better off as prose. I’ve removed a poem.  All transparent issues will be used at a later date.  And I think you’re smirking at me but I’ll let that go, too, until I’m feeling a little more transparent.

I’m really starting to hate the word transparent.  It used to mean something sexy.

Next…It’s an absolutely ‘we’re not going to do anything or go anywhere sort of rainy week end’.

Today we made our first ever batch of Blondies.  Ok so we didn’t use the butter and we used some yogurt margarine something. A tad less guilt to deal with.  OMG!  They are effin good enough to die for!

To add a little health to our week-end, we’ve also gone and made a pot roast.  Hahaha!  No, but honestly…the veggies were all fresh.

To hell with it!  It’s a comfort food sort of week-end.  At 2PM Monday I’ll be standing in the DMV line.  In between cooking and cleaning and baking – just a little compulsive thing going on – I’m taking online California written tests on YouTube. 😛  I’m not sure why it was so terrible the last time I had to take the written test.  That was 13 years ago.  I feel lots calmer now.  I know I will pass this renewal test.  I’m ready for it!!!

I’m also glad that you have agreed to drive me to the DMV office on Monday.  I don’t want to go to the nearest one.  I want to drive almost 20 miles – into the Santa Cruz Mountains – and use that DMV office because YELP and several people I know have said it’s one of the nicer offices.  So I’m glad you’re driving me because we have to go on the freeway and I refuse to drive on California freeways. 😛

After supper we are going to watch the third episode of Ken Burns’ Jazz.  Then I’m going to watch a very old movie called The World of Suzie Wong (1960) – starring William Holden and Nancy Kwan.  I’ve already watched Peyton Place and Return to Peyton Place.  A very nice escape experience…Monday morning, before we leave for the DMV, I’m going to watch Heidi – starring Shirley Temple.
