When The Candles Are Lit – A Love Poem

When The Candles Are Lit
Outside when hanging baskets
sway in a twilight breeze
hummingbirds feed
and geese circle down to the wetlands
we hurry home
to light fairy lanterns
and candles cast
a calming glow
on all the troubles of today
that followed us inside.
