At The Appointed Hour – Fiction

She wanted to know: When are those times when you’d like him to be more emotional?

Me: What?

She kept on: Those times, when you’d like him to be more emotional…when are they?

Me: I told him I was leaving. He didn’t seem to care.

She mocked me: You’ve said this before.

I was stunned: Yes. Of course. I try to give him the benefit of love.

I scolded: I’m certainly not paying you for this.

Her: For what?

I scoffed: To question the unfair moments of love.

Our eyes met –  knowingly.

    • Perhaps some betrayal – sometimes we betray our true selves, yes? Hurt feelings lead to all sorts of stuff. And leaving is – usually – not easy to do emotionally.
Dream sweetly and thanks for reading and commenting on my work.
