We’re back from the reunion. The redwoods were lovely. The song of the brook and the morning and evening birds. Everything non-human was so perfect. Find out more about that in future poetry and fiction.

what ifThe Analytical Reunion

The most difficult
part was
leaving the family room
so often
rather than be analyzed
for a glance
or body posture
or opinion
knowing the analysis
would come
regardless
drunk or sober.
