Saying Goodbye To Tipper
Leaving a marriage
thirty years strong
until one day it wasn’t
so then
you’re stooping down
embracing your dog
in good-bye
and you hold each other
until each of you
pukes.
Now
that’s sobbing
that’s what parting
feels like
looking back.
